Hwy 30A contains numerous small retail establishments. A couple of miles west of the cottage on 30A is a video rental store. Between there and Seaside are various small establishments (fresh seafood, wine store, deli, bike rentals, etc..) For the most part, there are no national chain stores along 30A.

Seaside has over 55 stores selling everything from clothes to antiques and home accessories. There are also several restaurants there. Seaside is 8 miles west of the cottage on Hwy 30A.

Grayton Beach (about 2 miles west of Seaside) also has numerous small retail establishments and a Gym. The Gym and some of the stores are in a shopping are just north of 30A. Others are south of 30A along the main street.

For more industrial strength shopping, there is the SilverSands Outlet shopping center in Destin. Take Hwy 98 west and travel about 30-35 minutes to get there. Traveling beyond this shopping center will take you on into Destin. Destin has numerous retail stores (Barnes&Noble, Kohl's, Old Navy, Pier 1, etc...)

Grocery Shopping

The closest big chain grocery store to Johnny's Hideaway is the Winn Dixie in Inlet Beach. It is an 5 minute drive east on Hwy 98. This WinnDixie has a full service pharmacist as well. The closest grocery store to Seagrove Seacret is the new Watercolor Publix. It is located about 1.5 miles from the condo and is about a 3-5 minute drive.

For more eclectic shopping, try the Modica Market in Seaside. Modica has a really interesting inventory of condiments, fresh vegetables, freshly prepared foods, coffee, etc...

Panama City Beach also has a Super Wal-Mart. To reach it, go east on Hwy 98 to Beckrich Road (about a 15 minute drive.) Turn right onto Beckrich. Turn left at the Publix and go about 2 blocks and the Wal-Mart will be on the right.
